From gorgeous Prince George’s County, Maryland. Brooklyn transplant. Poet & artist.
Maya Henry Lewis is a book marketer by day — poet and mixed-media artist by …well, all times. She’s an avid pop-culture enthusiast and the co-founder of the NONAC, a literary newsletter (currently on-hiatus). Maya is also a member of the Inkluded Academy, a program focused on diversifying the publishing industry. She was a Brooklyn Poets Fellow, a Tin House Workshop alum, a Keywest Literary Seminar Fellow, and a 2-time Watering Hole Fellow. She has been published in Womanly, No Dear, The Amistad, Callaloo and SoftPunk Magazine, among others. She has exhibited work with sk.Artspace and Weeksville Heritage Center & Museum. She lives in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
